Hi Capt. Mike,
I just wanted to pass along my thanks for the two great
trips last week. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves
last Monday on a beautiful morning with Capt. Greg
and mate Hilroy aboard the Chubasco IV, then feasted
on the wahoo at Montagu Gardens that same evening.
But the light tackle trip on Thursday with Capt.
Adam and Charlton aboard Chubasco V was one of the
most enjoyable days on the water I've ever spent!
Once we got into the fish, it was non-stop action
on yellowtail, several types of jacks, barracuda,
spanish and king macks, mutton snappers, and finally
that pretty african pompano. I especially appreciated
their willingness to let me do some of the work...
it's been a long winter and it felt good to get back
at it. I'm attaching a couple of the pictures (click
for photo) Adam took on the way back in.
We'll be back next year, and look forward to doing
it again.

Hi Everyone,
First I wanted to thank Capt. Adam and Matt (crew)
for a great charter on March 11. The kids had a fantastic
time with everyone catching their fill of Yellowtail
Snapper. Andrew still talks about his Spanish Mackerel.
Alex's 13+ Pound Mutton Snapper is the buzz in our
fishing circle.
When we return to Nassau, we will certainly use Chubasco
Charters again. Wishing you all continued tight lines.
Sincerely,
Alex Nanai

Capt. Mike, We had a great time fishing on your charter
on Friday morning. The captain worked very hard to
find some fish because there wasn't much happening
for the first hour and a half. And then... BAM! We
landed 6 Dolphin, 3 sharks, and 1 Wahoo. And of course
we pounded the case of Coors light. I'll send you some
of the pics as soon as I can, but I wanted to say thanks
again. I hope we'll be back again next year!

We had a great time on the trip even though two of
our friends missed it, next time we come down we will
definitely be on one of your charters the captain knew
where to find the fish and the mate well, when Scott
the guy that caught the sailfish (see photos) lost
it our mate grabbed the nearest rod and re caught the
same fish AMAZING!!!!!!!!! we were all down there for
my wedding but believe me that the fishing trip was
the talk of the trip.
Thanks Again for a memorable time,

Capt. Mike,
We had a great time
fishing on the Chubasco IV. I don't remember the
captain's name but Hilroy was the deckhand and they
both were very friendly and helpful, and Hilroy worked
his butt off to try to get us some fish. We caught
one 53" wahoo that made the whole
trip worthwhile. Our group tries to go on vacation
together somewhere different each year, so we probably
won't be returning to Paradise Island any time soon.
However, I will highly recommend you to anyone who
is coming your way. I have attached two pictures (see
photos) for you: One of the group, and one very good
picture of Hilroy with the wahoo.
Thanks, Kevin

I would like to take this opportunity to say Thank
You for one of the most memorable experiences of my
life. We recently visited the Bahamas and stayed at
Atlantis Resort. I have grown up in The Great Lakes
Region (Michigan) all of my life and I love to fish.
I have never been on a charter boat let alone, deep
sea fishing. Prior to our arrival, I researched the
internet and came across your web site. I was impressed
with what I saw and read. We booked a trip on October
28, 2005 under the name of my friend, Frank Phillips.
We were lucky enough to get Malcolm as our captain
and Keith as our first mate. Well let me tell you that
it was the best money I spent in the Bahamas. We booked
a morning half day trip and during that trip we caught
EIGHT fish. Five Barracuda, two Dolphin and a Wahoo.
I was lucky enough to catch five of those (3 Barracuda,
1 Dolphin and the only Wahoo). Those guys really knew
what they were doing. We actually hooked two fish at
once on two different occasions. It was such a rush
and I would highly recommend your services to anyone
looking for an experience of a lifetime.
Please pass along my thanks to our crew, the best crew
in the Bahamas and the best charter fishing business
as well. I am sorry that it has taken me so long to
send you this, it's just that I have been very busy
since then.
Thanks again to you and your staff. I hope to see
you again someday soon.

In addition, the highlight of the trip was the restaurant

delicious, their dinner was so good! And their presentation
was great also. Thanks for that tip!
We hope to see you again and we will refer you to any

Mike,
Just a thanks to you and Richard for another nice trip
on June 8th. I know the fishing has been tough
lately, but we had a good trip and the fish tasted great
at Montague Gardens.
I think it is great that Adam may choose to follow you
as a captain. He will continue a long tradition
and you should be proud. I often think of you
as lucky, being on the ocean and doing what you love,
but I realize it is hard work. Sort of like being
a scholarship athlete...if you don't produce nobody
wants you.....and a lot of fishing is luck, regardless
of how bad you want it for your clients. I watch
how hard you work looking for fish, and can hear the
excitement and enthusiasm in your voice each time one
shows up in the pattern....Something you maintain after
a number of years..its nice to see.
Thanks again.

Hello to all at Chubasco Charters, would like to thank
you all for the great fishing experience aboard the
Chubasco with Capt. Malcolm and mate Matt Russell on
5/22 & 5/23. Your crew did an outstanding job of
finding plenty of Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna and
Bonito to catch and to enjoy some for dinner at Montagu
Gardens. The whole experience was so unbelievably exciting
only to be topped off by getting a nice Mahi-Mahi on
a spinning rod. We can't wait to come back to go again
and will highly recommend anyone going to Nassau to

Hey Mike,
I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know what
a wonderful time we had fishing with you the first week
of June. The trip was totally planned around my son's
graduation. He wanted to go deep sea fishing and you
guys came through. The 120 lb yellow fin tuna he caught
was outstanding. It was absolutely a once in a lifetime
fish. We couldn't have picked a better crew to spend
the day fishing with. Your first mate Richard is a class
act. The most fun was watching him and Ben work the
fish into the boat. Patti and I want to thank you for
a most enjoyable trip and promise you we will be back.

My wife and I do a lot of charter and offshore fishing
when we go on vacation, so when we decided to go to
Atlantis for a vacation in May 2004, I did my internet
research on charter captains available and selected
Chubasco Charters. We are so glad we did. Captain Mike
is a 4th generation Bahamian captain, so he knows the
waters and fishing patterns like no one else.
We were met promptly at the dock at our appointed time
and found Chubasco III, a 48 foot Hatteras to be well
equipped with excellent electronics and top of the line
tackle and rigging, all the way down to top quality
skirts.
One of the best things about fishing this area with
Chubasco Charters is that you can be fishing 15 minutes
after leaving the dock. We were on Mahi-Mahi within
one half hour of trolling and had boated several within
an hour. We had an excellent day of Mahi-Mahi, Black
fin tuna, Wahoo, Barracuda, Bonita, and a brief dance
with a beautiful marlin.
My wife and I were so impressed with the fishing and
the area that we bought a time share in Nassau, so we
can fish yearly there. In fact, we will be going back
again in two weeks, where we have already booked two
more days with Captain Mike on Chubasco III.
It is no wonder that Captain Mike spends over 300 days
annually on the water, and we are happy that 1% of his
fishing year will be spent with us in 2004.

I wanted to thank you for a most enjoyable fishing trip.
My wife and I had a great time. The boat was great,
and that 25 lb. Mahi-Mahi was nice too (along with the
other 5 or 6 that we boated). I'd love to try and come
back in May or June to go for the Marlin. Only problem
with the trip was that the cruise line lost one of my

Guess we've gotta come back now to get some more photos.
